Here is a more recent kendama video, and has quickly become one of my favourites. Why? Read on:
This video is more long-form than most other edits, spanning over 10 minutes. The production quality is very good, with high-quality cameras. One of the best aspects of the edit is the unique style of editing, that speeds up all of the boring parts (such as balancing the lighthouse), and slows down the coolest parts.
The inclusion of lots of different players is awesome - it allows you to see lots of different styles of tricks, and you can just feel the excitement whenever someone lands a trick. The music only amplifies the feel-good vibe - I mean, one of the songs repeated the phrase 'I feel good!'
The tricks were amazing also - for example, the knee bounce part at 2:39 was super creative - and the border balance trick at 10:21 was pretty crazy. I also loved the doubles trick at 12:24 - it made it all the more satisfying when it showed them missing before eventually getting it.
In conclusion, this truly is an epic edit. Thank you for reading. Comment below, what are some of your favourite kendama videos?
